Video: Last Chance For Magical Mangroves?

Filmed around Bimini Island in the Bahamas this new video highlights both the ecological importance of these vanishing forests and the diverse wildlife that depends on them.

Providing nurseries for fish, protecting coastlines against tropical storms and erosion, storing massive amounts of carbon, and harbouring species found nowhere else, mangrove forests are among the most important ecosystems in the world. It is a sad fact that they are vanishing indeed experts estimate that around 35% were lost in just twenty years (1990 to 2010).
